Having CAS number as 112-36-7, Bis(2-Ethoxyethyl) Ether has colorless appearance and is a clear viscous liquid. This chemical compound is also known as Diethylene Glycol Diethyl Ether, Diethyl Carbitol and Ethyl Diglyme. Its manufacturing is done via the reaction of Diethyl Sulfate and Ethylene Glycol Monoethyl Ether. Canonicalized in nature, it solubility is equal to or more than 100 mg/mL at 66 F. It has excellent solubility in water, organic solvents and ethanol. It is also soluble in ethyl ether and hydrocarbons. This compound is used as processing aids in industries. For consumer products, it is used in ink, toner, and colorant products.
